Solutions and benefits

Benefits of SATIS implementation:

  • Automated reporting obligations under the Law of 2011 No. 152 item 897
  • Elimination of waste collection from unauthorised points
  • Elimination of waste storage at sites other than designated for this purpose
  • Geographic optimisation of transport tasks
  • Optimising the working time of equipment and people
  • Reducing the business costs by implementing Eco-driving programs
  • Automation of maintenance activities for the fleet

System implementation

There are two ways to implement the SATIS system to support municipal companies in meeting their statutory obligations. Both methods are the same to a large degree. The differences lie in the method of measuring the weight of waste collected and transferred for storage.

Common features in both variants:

Step 1 – Import data about:

  • Waste collection points with an indication of the type of waste to be collected at these points
  • Types and quantities of containers that can be handled at specific waste collection points
  • Waste disposal sites with an indication of the type of waste to be stored at these points

Step 2 – Create the lists of:

  • Vehicles, including their categories, to provide the ability to:
    • Indicate of the purpose of the vehicle
    • Specify the type of waste that can be transported by the particular type of vehicle
    • Indicate the type of container that can be handled by the particular vehicle category
    • Indicate the locations in which the particular vehicle type can be unloaded
  • Containers and defining their logistic parameters:
    • Capacity
    • Net weight
    • Gross weight
    • Determine which types of vehicles can be used to transport the waste

Step 3 – Install GPS tracking units to enable:

  • Continuous geographic positioning
  • Driver identification
  • Status identification: drive/stop
  • Identification and measurement of loading/unloading time (these parameters can be determined by connecting additional sensors to the GPS tracking unit to identify the operation of lifts, pumps, and other vehicle elements)
  • Measurement of vehicle speed, engine speed, sudden acceleration and deceleration. These parameters make it possible to introduce eco-driving programs
  • Connection of fuel measurement

Step 4 – Prepare the report module

  • automatic generation of any analytical summaries according to customer needs
